I thought you’d like that. 🙂
As usual, in today’s quote Joel gives us some great advice. When I heard him give the sermon from which this quote comes from, he referenced Philippians 4:13, which is one of my favorite scriptures, but most of us (myself included) are more familiar with the New King James version which is:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
However, in this particular sermon, Joel referenced the Amplified Bible version which is:
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
Pretty cool too, huh?
Regardless of which one you like best, you must admit that Saint Paul was one heck of writer, which is probably why the Lord chose Him to write more than two thirds of the New Testament. 🙂
I like my first thought of the day to be Psalm 118 : 24
This is a day the Lord has made; I shall rejoice and be glad in it.
But I can certainly find a place in my morning to add this thought and I hope you will too!
