Are you a grateful person? All the time? Sometimes? Never? It’s not easy to be grateful all the time is it? But this is something we all need to work on. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard or read that “Gratitude” is the key to getting the things we want in life, whether they be tangible OR intangible (like happiness).
I like today’s quote because you can’t help but realize that we do have so many things to be grateful for. I’m not in a wheelchair and hopefully I will never need one. Nor am I living on the street and hopefully never will. Another reason I like this quote is aside from showing the many things we have to be grateful for, it also shows compassion for those less fortunate folks even though it points out that even they have something to thank God for.
I have always appreciated the way Joel can turn a complaint around and into a prayer of Thanksgiving. I remember during one of his sermons a while back, he said something like (and I’m paraphrasing), the next time you have to park far away from your destination, say Thank You Father that I have legs to walk and/or run, and they are strong and healthy.
Well, here’s something I’m grateful for… I’m grateful for Joel and his positive messages of Faith, Hope and Love.
