Have you ever wondered if other people that you’ve hurt in the past feel this about you? I have and I certainly don’t want anyone to feel that way about me. And if I knew that someone felt that way about me, I believe that I would contact that person immediately to apologize and hopefully rectify the situation.
But ya know what? Sometimes we hurt people and don’t even realize it. Likewise, sometimes people hurt us and don’t even realize it.
Have you ever watched a TV show where someone over hears someone else talking negatively about a person and believes that the conversation is about them? The pain can be devastating even though they’re not really being talked about at all.
This is why today’s quote is so important for us to embrace, even if those that hurt us did it intentionally or not. There will always be people in the world that seem to have the ability to hurt us, but we need to turn the other cheek and pray for them as Jesus told us to do.
We are children of the most high God and it pleases Him when we let go of our past hurts, forgive the people that did us wrong, and forgive ourselves and just start afresh and anew.
If you’ll do this, you can believe God for big things.
